Civic Media Lab holds Theophillus Abbah Masterclass on Investigative Journalism
After a hugely successful first Journalism Masterclass, the Civic Media Lab today hosted the Theophilus Abbah Masterclass.
The class which had journalists from several media platforms across the country was themed ‘Principles and Practice of Investigative Journalism’. It was hosted by veteran journalist, Theophilus Abbah.
Mr. Abbah took the participants on several journeys based on his pedigree and experience; he was able to motivate new and practicing journalists
The Masterclass is a monthly meet up for practicing journalists to learn and acquire new skills while going about their daily practice. It offers them opportunities to also network and interact with professionals in the sector. It is part of our mandate to help change the paradigm in the practice of journalism in ensuring a better society.
Participants are expected to send in their story pitch on Retail corruption and will be selected by the host, these stories will be funded by Lab.
